I grew up in Kalispell and am now an Accounting Major at University of Idaho. My father has worked for Semitool for almost 15 years now and is 12 on seniority list. I can confirm the that this company is a tight ship, it is seasonal, and back orders can be very high. They tend to be busiest in August right after the Semicon West show, and usually stay busy through to March or April. The quality of Management is extreamly high, especially in the area of accounting and fabrication. The thermoplastics fabrication dept is the best in the industry and their welding dept is also exceptional. Most of their long time employees are in the middle management positions and in the executive positions. I have watched Semitool grow from a tiny company that employed 75-100 people, to one that now in busy seasons can employ nearly 800-1000. They are extreamly aware of current technology and have engineers that work one on one with fab workers during production to ensure that the needs of the customer are met. The Owner, Ray Thompson, is down to earth, level headed and stays closely involved with every aspect of production.
