I certainly have read The Old Reliable, though it's been a while. I remember being amazed and satisfied that the Wodehouse technique transplanted so readily to Hollywood, which is a long way from Blandings Castle. And from Jeeves, Bertie, Aunts Dahlia and Agatha, Flornce Craye, Stilton Cheesewright, and all the rest. There is one Blandings Castle story I'm thinking of in particular; can't remember the name but an American millionaire, a purloined scarab, a cold tongue, and Rupert Baxter entered heavily into it. Wonderful fun. I've never read a golfing story; my Wodehouse collection was sent over by my grandfather, who detests golf and has impeccable taste in stories.

Nice to have a mutual interest that we can talk about while respectable people are listening. As long as they don't look under the table.
