Phil, << for MGR to take over 100% control of the Bumbat Mill >>, yes but more important to me is knowing that Dave/MGR will agree to a settlement that will position MGR as a solid and sustaining company, and this may not be the best short term for current shareholders that just wish to get back their initial investment that they have seened reduced greatly in value.
Eventho I will sell all on MGR shares someday and transfer the money to another company "at a low with potential for a high", I'am in this company knowing with that old USA saying "whats good for GM/Ford, is good for the country".
I'am in MGR to make lots of money not short term like a shorter wants to, but in medium term as in 2 years + or - 1 years for results.
To me Dave has an obligation to the current shareholders, but also he has the same obligation to new shareholders and to the company to see it continue long into the future. To me someone wanting a quick in/out, or simply to get diminished investment back now is not the focus of Dave's. For me, I hope not as it is not the big picture needed for a companies's success.
But quick buy/sell and reclaiming initial people will also indirectly be served by Dave simply because he is human and will try hard to display his ability to the mining community as one of the best Presidents.
(off topic) Time
What is this new Universal Time?
Timed by Swatch
Internet Time represents a completely new global concept of time. So what is the deal? Basically, the Swatch Beat, the revolutionary new unit of time means the following:
No Time Zones No Geographical Borders
How long is a Swatch beat? In short we have divided up the virtual and real day into 1000 "beats". One Swatch beat is the equivalent of 1 minute 26.4 seconds. That means that 12 noon in the old time system is the equivalent of @500 Swatch beats.
Okay, so how can a surfer in New York, or a passenger on a transatlantic flight know when it is @500 Swatch Beats in Central Europe for example? How can the New York surfer make a date for a chat with his cyber friend in Rome? Easy, Internet Time is the same all over the world. (see converter)
How is this possible? We are not just creating a new way of measuring time, we are also creating a new meridian in Biel, Switzerland, home of Swatch. Biel Mean Time (BMT) will be the universal reference for Internet Time. A day in Internet Time begins at midnight BMT (@000 Swatch Beats) (Central European Wintertime). The meridian is marked for all to see on the façade of the Swatch International Headquarters on Jakob-Staempfli Street, Biel, Switzerland. So it is the same time all over the world, be it night or day, the era of time zones has disappeared.
The BMT meridian was inaugurated on 23 October 1998 in the presence of Nicholas Negroponte, founder and director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Media Laboratory. -------------------------------------- day into 1000 "beats" One Swatch beat is the equivalent of 1 minute 26.4 seconds. -------------------------------------------------------------- 24 hr / 1 day x 60 min / 1 hr x 60 sec / 1 min = 86,400 sec/day --------------------------------------------------------------- (86,400 sec/day)/(1,000 beat/day) = 86.4 sec/beat = 1min 26.4sec/beat --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 beat equal just a little less than 1.5 minutes ------------------------------------------------ doug |
