Hiram. That's uncanny. It looks like a grass roots version of the hypothetical "third build" that we've been discussing in the Last Mile thread.

There are hundreds of independent coops and M&Ps like this all over the country. But most of them are vestiges of another era, garage PBX custodians of a sort who used to maintain the town magnetos [hand crank ringing generators]. Just kidding.

In actuality, some of them have even leapfrogged their neighboring incumbents in the telco sphere... but this new movement to place fiber in the ground and through the trees is something else. Unless they've organized under the auspices of a township or other municipal umbrella, in which case it's become more commonplace (than this one).
