Hey Carl,
Sounds like a horror story to me. I must say though, I place many trades a day, and have had a great experience with Web Street. I heard someone post that if your having good service, why post it. Well I thought I would post about the good service I am having. I have and had accounts with Sutro,Datek, Dean Witter, JB Oxford, Lakeside Trading, Ameritrade, Schwab, Smith Barney, Paine Webber, and many more, yada yada yada. Hell, with Paine Webber, they just recently sold some 144 stock of mine at the end of the year, and forgot to file the rule 144 paperwork that I sighned. Now they want me to cover there mistake, and take a $30,000.00 loss on the trade. You can imagine how happy I am!! I have come to learn in the last year and so months, that I must keep on my toes with this online trading and broker trades. I realize the situation sucks some times, but I work thru it. If I need to get an attorney, I will. But make no mistake, any brokerage firm you go too is going to screw up. They all screw up, but I must trade, so I try to stick with the one that gives me the best service of all of the crap that is out there. They are all lacking, and hopefully they will get better technology soooonnn. Believe me, this is no plug for any brokerage firm, but just my experience with the ones I have done business with. They all have problems, but right now I use Web Street for day trades, and Paine Webber for my long term and strategic planning.
For what it is worth,
Bordelon
