Hi Gabor: <todays trading...will more than likely have bad numbers?>:

That is a good question. You are the BD expert, Sir. What do you think?

IM[Very]HO: 1. The activity today is not related to earnings. BD was disappointing today, but not alarmingly surprising. 2. Part of it today was the resulting effect of some BDBC options being exercised Friday; then with the stock slightly down @ opening, the "exerciseors" sold the stock today. [In my experience, the majority sell anyway, even if the stock is up the Mon. after expiration. ] 3. Also, appx'ly. 3 mos. ago, BD issued a statement {I don't have it now} re: anticipated earnings. They have not changed it, nor pre-warned. {Certainly not definitive, I realize. :) }

None of the above addresses any anticipation re: earnings per se, nor whether BD will keep retracing this week. I am just attempting to answer your question.

What I have not figured-out yet is, given the fundamentals, why BD has been trading in this range, and not breaking-out of it to the upside. Do any of you have any thoughts?

Good evening,
Carol
