I don't think so. China is now quickly divided into those can
and those cannot. For those can, the difference between PIII and
MediaGX is not that important. For those cannot, they are worrying
about food rather than some thing called computer and this is the
majority so looking at the average income would make people think
that no one in China can affect a computer.

A tradition just like many other foreign brands like Coke,
MacDonald etc. They only like the top brand, no second runner.
