Looks to me like the Antec info you refer to is assuming a 4 gig bios limitation that's no longer operative for new MB bioses and OSes. I'm certain that it'll work with any drive that will work as a fixed drive, since AFA the MB is concerned, they are identical.

I don't see any reference here to removability. Both the IDE and SCSI trays would need drivers to allow for this. I don't think SCSI has an edge here; both would likely be iffy, again especially under NT. Of course I could be wrong--if you find info to the contrary, I'd certainly be interested.
