Don, As a long-time reader of Barron's, I have seen Cheryl Strauss Einhorn make some awful, ill-timed calls, but what I take from this article is that one "might" do well to "nibble away" at or bottom fish at some of the undervalued natural resource / commodity-based equities. I do some futures trading, in addition to stocks, and so I find it helpful to monitor the CRB index, the cash prices of a given commodity, as well as the charts of several months of a particular futures contract. And too, when Asia turns itself around, the prices of needed commodities will also rise (copper, crude oil et al). |
