KP... You responded to my post as if IOM's biggest profit margin is the DRIVE !

That is a very good and concise question. Let me give you my views:

Generally, when you at at the whims of someone else to make a profit, (the OEM model) it is difficult to make money. The part of the value chain that makes the final product (the computer) squeezes everything underneath it. PC makers are getting squeezed as PC prices keep dropping. Hence, they put the clamps on their suppliers.

Iomega did much better when they where selling directly to the consumer. Unfortunately, that market has started to saturate, shifting unit volumes toward the much lower margin OEM devices. I have said for 3 years now that this would happen... The 'treadmill effect'.

Talk about putting your own spin on things, and being so affectionate
with the pile of Rocks makes me think you are one ( a Rocky personality ) If this is the best bear spin you 2 have I think it might be time for me to buy my trading shares back ( I'll have to look at the chart first ) Besides IOM is just a three letter stock to me that I make money on trading, just as CPQ is an they recently laid me off, but there's no reason to get emotional about stocks, you ( and others ) think you'll make more on the down side , others see the opposite. I just like to follow the battle for the next removable drive standard. As others have mentioned there may be more than winner. There definitely needs to be one. IMMHO

You state you don't have a position in IOM, if I sell all the stock I own in a company I don't hang out on there thread unless I'm considering a new position. At least the bulls around here admit we're bulls the bears always claim not to have a position or will claim they went short at the last absolute top.

One position I have is a long one. When I feel its time I double that position. Right now I only have my long position. I'll tell you and Rocky,Inc. my cost avg and post when I buy and sell if you and all the ( other ) Rocky's will. Why are the bears so covert ?

K.P. you are so infatuated with IOM and so adamant that their business model won't work then go short and let us know at what price, you don't have to tell us the quantity.
