I once was scared awake by a near wet-dream involving Joni and me on my couch. I don't think she's terribly attractive, yet wow...how alluring can you get...with a voice and passion like that!
I thoroughly understand. I grew up with Ten Years After, Cream, Led Zep, Atomic Rooster, John Mayall, Beatles, Mott the Hoople, Spirit, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Mountain, Chick Corea, Jefferson Airplane, Traffic, King Crimson, Trapeze(a favorite obscure three piece outfit, VERY heavy), early Zappa("do you think that I'm lazy, that I sleep in a phone booth. Shut your f'ing mouth about the length of my hair....I'm another person), Neil Young, Yes, The fugs(woaaa, communists singing Slum Goddess From the Lower East Side "eat my d**k"...god we laughed at that raunchy stuff...sold to minors without warning in '71). Geez, I could go on, of course. Well, that was fun.
Oh yeah, a few of those Nirvana tunes really kicked butt. And so on...the last 8 years have passed some really great rock to the world of music.
I was converted prior to leaving H.S. in '72, but in '68 I was a flaming liberal for sure... . :-)
