CL, This WILL be my last response. (1) I did not accuse you of leading me to invest in Cymer. Others brought my attention to the stock, NOT you. I did say that you did throw around completely ridiculous numbers surrounding the stock, and individuals are free to peruse the Cymer thread during the Fall and early Winter of 97 to verify it for themselves. If they do, they will also find that (2) you attacked people who spoke negatively of either the stock or the projections being made with absolute hysteria. I was not the only one who was afforded this treatment. As to the individuals who came to me outside of the thread to question those numbers and what following your advice had done to them, they came to me off of the thread to avoid the kind of attacks you are so fond of making. I will not name names to preserve their privacy. I do not wish you any misfortune. Only that you would understand that there are individuals, and more everyday, that are new to these chat boards, and will believe what is set in front of them as factual material. Furthermore, they will unfortunately, act on it, and not truly understand what they are doing. While you bear no fiduciary responsibility to these individuals, some of them nonetheless will act according to what they get from you. I know for a fact that for some of them, the result has been financial ruin. There is nothing wrong with questioning the valuation of an individual security. There need be no short selling intention whatsoever. What most of us try to do is to understand both the upside and downside potential of prospective investments. Exploring the downside of Cymer during the time in question had the result of eliciting vicious attacks from you in particular. jess.
