Unisys and ONTOS Ally to Develop Simplified Migration Process to Multi-Tier Environments for Financial Services
ONTOS solution streamlines integration of data and component development
BLUE BELL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 1999-- Unisys Corporation, a premier provider of solutions to the global financial marketplace, announced today that it has selected the ONTOS*Integrator Development Tool and related services from ONTOS, Inc. to assist in developing Unisys financial solutions for the Microsoft Windows NT environment.
ONTOS is a leading provider of component-based application development solutions.
Unisys will strengthen its financial services application development effort by using the ONTOS solution to create and generate components that allow applications to access corporate data in multi-tier environments.
Expected benefits for the development lifecycle include improved time to market in delivering products and services to customers, lower project risks, increased productivity, and reduced total cost of ownership. Initially, Unisys software developers will use the solution and professional services to implement the pre-defined components in existing Unisys financial applications.
