Tuesday February 23, 7:45 am Eastern Time Company Press Release Unisys and Compu-Dawn Announce Marketing Alliance to Provide Complete Public Safety Solutions BLUE BELL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 1999--Unisys Corporation and Compu-Dawn, Inc.'s public safety division today announced a marketing alliance that couples Unisys state-of-the-art enterprise servers with Compu-Dawn's customized computer applications designed for use in law enforcement and public safety, empowering agencies with quick and reliable access to critical information.
The powerful combination of Unisys servers and Compu-Dawn's software solutions will allow agencies to more efficiently utilize the capabilities of the ALECS 2000 (Advanced Law Enforcement Computer Solutions), Compu-Dawn's suite of applications that provide powerful management tools for the public safety industry.
ALECS Mobile On-Line (AMO), a part of the ALECS 2000 suite, enables users to retrieve and process information across wireless and mobile computing environments. Among the modules offered are mobile applications such as mapping, crime analysis, database access, field reporting, mug shot transmission, lost or missing persons, vehicle location monitoring and automated ticket printing.
Through this agreement, Compu-Dawn's public safety division will be able to offer its clients a complete solution utilizing Unisys servers and extensive nationwide service capabilities to ensure a complete solution for their public safety applications.
