Mitchell, If you are sincerely interested in promoting BNEZ (and I think you are) then might I suggest you put your best foot forward. This means that you represent yourself in any public forum with the highest of polish and professionalism. Proofread your posts, try to maintain some objectivity, and control your emotions.
I don't doubt that your efforts can enhance the success of our company, but first you must build a relationship on trust and respect with them over time. Stamping your feet the first time they say no will almost certainly make it impossible to be heard in the future.
When things don't go my way on a project, I use the "24hr" rule: I wait 24 hrs before I form a reaction to whatever it is that I don't agree with. Somehow, I always manage to come up with a much more constructive approach to the conflict. In rare occasions, this time allowed the other side to digest and decide for themselves that my thinking is worth looking into. The best way to lead in an endeavor like this is directed consensus; lead Jack's group to use your services by carefully pointing out (from they're point of view) how your services will benefit them, that they need them, and what the they might miss out on if they don't use them. Do this with polish and professionalism. Attention to detail is so key, they will look at how you represent yourself as an example of how you will represent their company.
Mitchell, thanks for your energy and ambition.
Best Regards, robb |
