C'mon MArie, give credit where credit is due:

1)SHRP is addressing your contention that some of their products are over-priced. And not accessible to many people.

2) They will learn via this aucton that some of their products, for example the darth vader phone, have little real consumer value after Christmas season and ought not to be part of their year round collection. This is evidenced by the very low bid on this product.

3) They are ridding themselves of some of this junk, as well as some refurbished products which, if sold in the store would still detract buyers from full priced stuff.

4) They are bringing new customers to their site. Including potential for several new countries to access this stuff. Remember internet use in Canada pro-rata is far higher than in the US - and I am pretty sure we dont have a SHRP store anywhere.

5) They are taking advantage of the significantly lower cost structure of their internet business by passing some savings on to the customer.

6) some of these products are already seeing pretty high bids relative to retail.

7) This thing is a building process, this is a small company and many have not even heard of it. This site will create some press I expect. Maybe even CNBC if we get enough move on the share price soon. Hence, free advertising.

8) Even your math based on 1/2 a day open, if extrapolated to a 365 day year adds close to $2MM annual sales... big deal, but refer to my last point - THESE THINGS DO NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT.

My only concern is that this auction site may entail lower overall margins for the company - despite my expected increase in sales. As long as Savvy investors can understand the reason behind this, I think things will be extremely good. I have tons of things in my house that you would view as 'over-priced junk, or gadgets'. Who cares, I'll still buy them. So will others... not you, fine.. go to Walmart.

The net stocks are on fire 1/2 hour into the day, retail stocks look good... lets see what happens.
