Am I the Mike you called?

If it were possible to look at the MM activity behind the trades going off on MDIX and other penny stocks you would see that the activity is being handled by wholesale firms. Unless there is a big buy order of 50,000 or more shares placed, many penny trades are done on a "net" basis where the seller MM and the buyer MM agree on a sale price with seller commission included. That is why you see huge percentage bid/offer spreads appear and disappear.
