Bob,

An extreme spike in the 13, 21 or 34 dCCI at prices that are approx. 65% or more below the all time high, is most often a very strong intermediate term buy signal. It's an early signal however in that it leads the start of the advance by as much as 2 months.
Extreme spike at a high is a screaming sell signal.
