I welcome discussion on the following article regarding the Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley merger in which the author correctly stipulates that Dean Witter invests its assets more efficiently, but then falls into the earnings trap towards the latter part of the article. msnbc.com As of 6 p.m eastern Standard time, a fully manipuable copy of the valuation model will be available in which you can input your own data and forward earnings assumptions. The model will out put valuation estimates for option, warrants and equities and graoh the varuious results. The updated version will be available in Excel 97 format, but will include links to various views, filters and converters which will allow all 32 Windows users with 8 mb to use it. The model is available at rcmfinancial.com Documentation and database archiving for the stocks in the model will be coming soon.
