The man wins a prize!!!

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 1999--

Global MAINTECH Corporation (OTC-BB: GLBM - news), and its subsidiary Singlepoint Systems, announced. the sale of its software product to a major OEM
customer. The sale is for state-of-the-art notification software, PhonePoint, to the large OEM customer operating in the systems and network management industry
segment. This sale will ensure that the latest release of PhonePoint will continue to be incorporated in key enterprise management tools sold to data centers.

''Finding OEM relationships has always been a key direction for Singlepoint, in addition to selling our end-user ready product, AlarmPoint through the reseller
channel,'' said Trent Wong, President of the Singlepoint Systems subsidiary. ''Our PhonePoint software provides to software companies the ability to incorporate
event notification into their products, which allows their customers to be notified of various events via telephone, voicemail, pager or e-mail. While the name of this
important buyer is not yet public, we are pleased with this event worth a few hundred thousand dollars at margins in excess of 90%.''

The focal point of MAINTECH's suite of systems and network management software products for data centers is its Virtual Command Center (VCC). The VCC is
a master console that provides simultaneous control, operation and monitoring for mainframe, midrange, UNIX, Microsoft NT and networks; it can provide efficient
consolidation of consoles for delivery of software provided by other companies in the enterprise management market. The VCC is able to respond to messages,
events and alerts of a computer enterprise at a single location. In addition to system services and event notification software sold through the Singlepoint Systems
subsidiary, MAINTECH also sells network and systems management software through the Magnum Technologies name.

Forward-looking statements in this release are made pursuant to the ''safe harbor'' provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. Investors are
cautioned that such forward-looking statements involve risk and uncertainties, including without limitations, continued use of the Company's services, and the
continued availability of labor resources.
