Kevin, you should take a look at Herr Uberclockermeister's:

These are Quake 2 Crusher tests which include the new Voodoo3 from 3Dfx, a Voodoo2 SLI, a Riva TNT, and an ATI Rage 128. Pentium III 500 wins them all, and this is without the SSE support. The AMD K6-3 450 beats the Celeron 400 with the VoodooX cards, but they lag behind with the other cards.

Also, interestingly enough, the K6-3 does better with the Voodoo2 SLI than it does with the Voodoo3 in Quake 2.

So like I said before, if all you want is to play Quake 2 with a Voodoo2 SLI card, you should go for the K6-2 or the K6-3. If you want to play any other game, or if you want to use any other graphics card, you might find the 3DNow support lacking. And like I said before, AMD had nine months to make things right.
