U.S. TRADING SUMMARY: U.S. stocks were mixed in choppy midday trade as Wall Street worked through comments by Fed chairman Alan Greenspan about equities valuations and the economy. Technology and financial services issues continued to be standout performers after helping to boost Wall Street to one of its best performances of the year on Monday. ''We got the market pumped yesterday in advance of Greenspan's comments and some of it was a little bit harsher than people expected. But the net-net of his comments is that there is little that is very new,'' said Bill Meehan, chief market analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald. ''Near term, we're going higher. We probably put in the bottom immediately after Greenspan's comments.''
