What Greenpeace et al. is NOT telling everyone:

The Canadian news attempt in the Globe is a last-ditch attempt by Greenpeace et al. to generate negative publicity before the Colombia conference. The Brazilian state thing was another last-minute attempt. I think everyone sees right through this scheme.

Further, it's what Greenpeace is NOT telling people that should worry everyone. Specifically, what they suggest would require EVERYONE to pay a price, since new end-to-end infrastructure would have to be built (costing $) in order to support crop segregation for labeling. This would have the immediate effect of disrupting world trade, and would cause an inflation spike in world food prices, which would directly affect everyone at the grocer, and the most needy (the hungry in small, poor countries). Translation: some people would immediately die. All this based on fear stories which don't hold up. The US and UK government know what is going on.

The real questions people should ask are:
"Do I want everyone to pay a higher prices for food, based on irrational worries? Do I want more poor people to starve because of my irrational fear?"

Finally, does anyone else share my concern over what amounts to a terrorist group (Greenpeace) -- which is clueless in matters of science and economics -- trying to deeply affect the world's trade policy and economy?
