Hi AJ

Interesting stuff, Ann Sabina of the Can. Geo. Survey wrote a series
of feild guides on old abandonned mines and surface showings.

Gives complete details on localisation and good petrological & mineralogical description & fossils, very educationnal.

These guides cover Canada from ocean to ocean including the Alaska Highway.

These books have taken this city slicker to really strange, weird & dangerous places.. the last one was a partially flodded hard rock apatite mine 200m deep with 7 levels just out of Ottawa.

Looked like an abandonned subway station to this Frog !

Great Leopard orbicular granit there.

If anyone goes to such : WATCH OUT FOR THE HOLES IN THE GROUND.

PS after going down in these abandonned dark watery slimy infectious 'holes in the ground' : I AIN'T AFRAID OF NOTHING NO MORE !!!
