With Dell making the official announcement of FC based SAN's...it probably marks the true beginning of this new technology. Realizing that we can't win them all...and Dell is but one of many fish in the sea...why did we loose this contract? Dell has name recognition. It would have been an huge boost to have landed this one, first out of the gate. If Ancor has the lowest latency and best priced switch on the market, why did Brocade get this important first big contract? It this yet another example of politics...or do they have a product that can go head to head with the MK2, both in regards to performance and cost? I personally prefer to see Ancor win them all and leave Brocade in the dust. Our competitor has cost all of us a lot of money. Time to get even.
