I tend to agree with you. I think the market will be sideways for much of the year and maybe longer. We'll probably bounce around 8500 to 10k off and on. I think the most profitable thing is to take profits and not bet the farm in either direction. Play it for the short term down and up. I knew last week that I should have gotten out of some puts, but I went against my instinct. Yesterday, I kicked myself several times for that. Today, I think one could have shorted or putted the stocks that ran up. We'll probably sell-off some this week for "profit-taking". The bonds crashing didn't help the equities and I think the market will use that as one fuel to sell-off a bit.

Of course, I'm just another idiot hanging out on SI.
