Here's my take SJS, what's your thoughts? I am a little concerned that these communications semi stocks are jumping on the recent good press and will start to slow down soon. I still think for the longer view, that setting a reasonable price target and waiting for the stock to come to you is the best strategy(15% to 30% below the high depending on the stock).

I do like BRCM, but I would be looking for the high 50s (58.5 or lower) to add to a long term position. If you don't have a position in the stock and are looking very long term, then it's easier to add in the low 60s. BRCM looks to have put together a nice base for it's next move but the current valuation is still steep, not that it's a concern these days<g>.

No on VTSS other then to trade. Just a couple of days ago, VTSS traded below 42, so I have a harder time adding after a 20% run in such a short period of time. The momentum is excellent but I'm still a bit cautious about the overall markets at this time. I think we have seen how quickly these stocks can move so it's best to be on the long side at low prices then to be adding after big runs. At the same time, I wouldn't be surprised to see VTSS set a new high soon.

Great call on VRSN, OO7. Excellent trade. Nicely done and I would be looking to take profits at this stage also.
