Only time will tell; but just in case no one has noticed; irregardless of the Clayton Williams post, all the gloom & doom posts, nattering naybobs efforts aside; NOTHING has caused the OSX to set a new low ! and PS ! ---> Oil has moved strongly and ''pit'' traders have commented on the heavy shorting and the ''talk'' of ''trying to keep the lid on'' untill the OPEC meeting. KEYWORD being ''trying'' to keep the lid on..... Love it !
Yes; it does take ''guts'' and a bit of a gambler here to buy into this selloff; however given the hand being played by Traders - having not only been tipped, but being openly and publically acknowledged; this is a calculated risk more than it is a ''bet.'' Semantics aside; we all take risks every day; be it crossing the street, boarding an airplane, or making any elementary business decision. We make a bet, take a risk, or even gamble to a degree every time we buy, or sell a single share of stock. Any and alll decision making has an element of risk vs. reward when faced with alternative choices.
What I think the Nattering Naybobs resent the most here; is that they can't make a decision. Military Psychologist have learned from the battlefied that when a human is faced with a crisis; 3 reactions usually occur - flight, fight or freeze;
1. They take flight - they flee
2. They freeze - do nothing; can't make a decision-deer in headlight syndrome <VBG>
3. They fight - they act, they take control of their destiny
...and folks, we are in an ''Electronic'' Battlefield here. There are winners and losers on each side of EVERY trade.
The Chicken Littles from the Long Lost Mensa Clan have been crushed - literallly humiliated of late; never have I seen so many get so little right... Shorting into bottoms - be it the Oilpatch, or Tech; chastising those who follow what has been proven to be the correct ''play'' 4 TIMES since the Market Crash in September WITHOUT FAIL - I may add <VBG> that being buying headlong into major selloffs - again being in the Oilpatch, or in Tech's or the Blue Chips. Anytime one can make a value play, which is also a contrarian play, which is also a cyclical play and STILL be in synch with what IS working in the market - you gotta do it...! And they expect me, or you to listen to THEM now ? I would say that the clearly defined trading range via the quadruple bottom and the overall market proven strategy of late of buying into blow offs has pretty well proven itself... why fix it - if it isn't broke ?
Oilpatch Stocks fit that definition. It does take a different breed here; there is a mindset of near jealousy here; allmost resentment that ''some'' DARE buy these stocks this cheap - after all the Sky IS falling and the World is coming to an end, Oil will never be used again, Japan has become a 3rd world non-power, of course commoditys have never behaved like this before <VBG>; of course they were never ''CYCLICAL'' in nature like this in the past <VBG> --- how dare you guys buy them this cheap ! You know OPEC won't do anything ! - on & on.... sounds & looks pretty ridiculous doesn't it; when you read it all in print.... but this has been the critics cry of late... don't do it - just don't do it ! ...now ''why'' all of a sudden has ''anyone'' become concerned with ''our'' financial welfare ? MeThinks they be trying way to hard...<VBG> !
After all; we all know the nattering naybobs of negativity have our purient interest at heart - of course it is ''their'' concern for ''our'' financial well being that is at the root of their Chicken Littlleisms ! No sour grapes - of course not; no talking up short positions here - of course not; they do it ONLY because just like Slick Willie; they feel our pain; and they want to save us.... our financial well being is why they post <VBG> ! They are the Modern day - World Wide Web Peace Corps... the Financial Guardian Angels of the Net.... certainly we all KNOW - it couldn't be about ''THE MONEY" now could it ? - nahhhh; it's never about money now is it <VBG>...!

I never called anyone any name in my post - I have absolutely NO IDEA to what you refer to ? I talked about the Market Sentiment, the Media and the Streets attitudes, and my opinions - period.
