When a society has a lot of housewives and teenagers playing the stock market, you know the stock market is near its top. Before Taiwan stock market crash (I don't know when is that exactly, in 80s?), I heard there were also a lot of housewives playing the stock market. Of course, at that time, there was no Internet yet. They just took a cup of tea and went to the trading center and sat there the whole day. My aunt (from Taiwan) told me that she had some friends lost their houses after the market crash.
