Maybe because information is so critical to me I don't think the video quality is first priority..Its my business to collect information, interpret it and act on that. I started out clipping articles with a pair of scissors. related to arbitrage, exchange offers, rights offerings, bankruptcies in the WSJ years ago to stockpile potential trading ideas. I get trade publications when I am positioning in a certain industry( I still get DataStorage mag from KM days)..with the advent of the Internet, I electronically clip through the interactive WSJ. they have newsfolders that will automatically clip by keywords like "merger" or "rights offering", so my time is cut down a little, but even that involves getting the articles, doing the due diligence, reading 10Qs etc.

What PRnewswire does is automatically separate by category, so its a boon to me...to get the info maybe 24 hours before it hits the Journal is potentially very profitable...quick story here..I paid the 4.95 a month to Edgar Access to get instant email when a company I followed filed anything...a few years ago, I got the notice that a SEC filing for an Amex company whose preferred I owned was tendering for that preferred at a price of 90% of par. the preferred was trading at 70%, so I bought more on that day. The press release announcing the tender didn't hit the wires until the following morning...so I always value anything that gets me relevant information quickly and I know from my own rather intense position trading that it is possible to get a bit of a head start sometimes, legally.

The added value of video/audio to me is the ability to quickly size up the opportunity for me on the spot instead of lots of additional research initially if I correctly interpret the market response to news.

Also, I have been to a lot of company presentations in my trading life, and nothing beats sizing up a company in person...Since I can't be everywhere, if the Business Uncut channel lets me virtually hear a presentation, I will use it extensively.

Plus, tv on the web and Pr newswire are getting paid by the company to provide the outlet for their news....

Now, that's from my selfish perspective concerning my investing..However, I am sure many other people in other professions would find it useful to see/hear a company presentation, especially if they want to sell to that company, they are a competitor, etc etc.
