No Jim, you were smart to recognize the parabolic blowoff 80-110...I posted a congratulations to all (who recognized it on the Ask Michael Burke thread)..Consider this the same..
It is the argument that Dell (and the market) has now started the slide towards investment oblivion that I find ludicrous.....Including Dell's fall last week, it was still up nearly 200% in a year...I can take a gut punch every now and then for that kind of return..
Over the past four years, four of the "horseman" of the Nasdaq (Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, MCI/Worldcom) have corrected 15, 20, 25, 30% once every 6-9 months...sure, you can make money on those plays (going short/puts)...but buying and holding has been a tremendous way to make money as well...a lot more tax efficient....with no worries about "timing" it right......IMO, this pattern of success is not ending anytime soon..
BTW- I am not one of those every-year-200% types...I'll be satisfied with 30-50%...Good chance I'll see it from these levels by next February...... |
