<off Topic> A good Scotch varies with the taster. A single malt Scotch can vary from the light (to me pre-dinner) such as a Glenfiddich or Glenmorangie to the dark peaty smoky Islay Malts favoured by myself, RB and I think Vic.

I will drink most any good single malt when asked ( it does even have to be a polite request.) But am very partial to Glenfarclas ( sp? ). There are some earlier posts that mention other good malts. There is also mention of a book on Scotches.

It is good to see that our taste in this thred extends beyond FTEL.

Martin Smith.
