Not such a weird train of thought. People who take steroids have a tendency to overdo it, for sure. That's why coaches give athletes steroids, it lets them "play hurt." They don't heal, they may permanently injure themselves, but they are there for the game.
By the way, Happy Birthday. I did not stop to count the "Happy Birthdays," so I don't know how old you are, younger than Methuselah, anyway. We all get osteoarthritis, if we live long enough, that is. Rheumatoid is not like osteoarthritis, it is caused by the immune system going out of whack and thinking that the tissue in the joints are enemies and trying to destroy it. I am old enough to have osteoarthritis, myself, in my back, a little, and my neck. I find that swimming helps, and so does weightlifting. And, yes, losing weight is very good if one is overweight. But, if you take good care of yourself and you still hurt sometimes, why not take aspirin or Advil? It's a lot cheaper. Unless you have to take NSAIDs everyday. Thats when Celebrex shines, because it is much easier on the system than conventional NSAIDs.
I don't want to discourage you from trying it, I thought it was more effective. But at $55 for a 30 pill bottle, it's just pricey. |
