No I have no problem with my profession or the rewards that came with it (I worked on the supply chain management software that allows companies like Dell and Amazon to sell things cheaply). I got sick last year and can't work right now which is why I am on the web all day with nothing to do. You are mischaracterizing my point of view a little, probably because you don't know I have been arguing with these guys for months.

I don't like the right "values police" and I don't believe their claim that motherhood is the pinnacle of womanhood, because it is not. My mother was a fine mom but her number one achievement in life was the fact that she was the head nurse on the first heart transplants in the late 60s and early 70s. Now, if she had not done something significant, then motherhood would have been her number one accomplishment. Just like if I had not worked on the Dell supply chain, and I had a kid, then motherhood would have been my number one accomplishment, but I did work on the Dell supply chain, which means if I had a child motherhood would be a #2 accomplishment for me.

I resent these claims from the right from people like Limbaugh and Whitehead, married to women who can't do anything but produce children, that somehow their wives are equals to women I admire, because they are not. If Mrs. Whitehead has self esteem problems because she is a stay at home mom, she needs to deal with her own problems. I am also against tax incentives that the right proposes to stay at home moms, if a family needs more money then they should go to work like everybody else. If you read this thread you will see that my opinions seem to bother some of the guys here who resent my attitude towards stay at home moms. Notice I don't really care what their opinions are towards me - ego legislation is never a good idea in my book.
