i recall the post (or a similar one) on SI about 2 months ago. and the same crap has been going around for longer than that. one fellow i posted back and forth to pasted a cnn url about the damn proposed charge. i guess he thought the cnn byline added credibility to the whole story. i even heard a dj on a local radio station going off on it, so i called him and asked for his email address. i sent him this url and the next day he was apologizing for the misinfo.

anyway, maybe i can find the post, but like i say, this is the fcc site that addresses it. i tried emailing several of the individuals with mail links on the fcc site, but (shock!) i never heard back.
