Mark, Funny what 10 points can do to an investor's perception of a stock. At $34./share, IRIDF looked like a dangerous, overvalued, high risk issue I decided to reject. At $24.00/share, it looked like a dangerous, undervalued, high risk issue I decided to buy. I wonder if I'll sell if, all things being equal, it hits $34.00 again? Investor psychology, even your own, can be confusing.
You've had a fascinating series of posts on multiple threads. I must say, I don't share your y2k concerns but I fully understand them. You may well be right in looking to go to a high cash percentage and I'm not at all sure that I can give a cogent argument against such a course of action. As for the DD sector, I share all of your concerns and you state them better than I could ever hope to. Funny that despair and hand wringing has always preceded opportunity in that sector. Duck and cover when people are optimistic <g>.
