PFG

I've inherited some bonds in PFG. The price was trashed along with the stock because they were carrying some division on their books at prices that had little relationship to planet Earth. Last summer when they were found out their stock went form $32 down to about 60 cents. Management has been selling off divisions and trying to get the company lean and profitable in hopes of attracting a buy out.

Their price remains in the sub one category, but their book value is about $10. Earnings are out next month and are rumored to be good. It seems to me like the common might be an interesting gamble here.

The float is 15mm. Only one analyst follows it and rates it neutral. MACD is on a sell. Stochastics turned up. As far as them meeting their commitments, I can attest that they did pay the interest on my bonds in November, and it looks like they will continue to pay.
