An older buck is better eating than a young buck or doe, to me anyway. The younger deer tend to be bland and almost too tender. A buck that dresses out 220 lbs has twice as much meat as a 150 lb doe.

The last season I hunted I never pulled the trigger. I helped build the duck blinds, set out decoys and did most of the work. Same during deer season. I don't know why but I never felt like shooting my gun.
