Aha, I see. A different story, that. Having been at various times both a father and a son, and a victim of numerous cancelled liasons, I can sympathize with all three of you. Can't you do it next weekend? I would probably run back down to the city for the game and run back up again afterwards, but I've always been a lunatic for having my cake and eating it too (or having my wine and tasting it too), and I'm not sure I'd suggest that course to anyone else. If you felt like being cruel you could attend the same game, wearing something really slinky and pretending you didn't know him. Until afterwards. If he had Jeeves on his side he'd be able to have the game rescheduled.
