Steve,

When I did this for the first time (and did it again with 2.1), I installed all the programs from the CD on the laptop. In order to get the data right you should each time copy the whole updated d:\QP2data directory (including subdirectories) to the laptop as c:\QP2data. I never had any problem. I use Win95 direct link for the files transfer (you can even use it if you don't have a CD driver in you laptop). Installing the programs directly on the laptop should avoid any disk labels problems. Copying the QP programs directory doesn't work since several files are stored in the systems directory.
Enjoy your vacation while making lots of profits.
