The story of 'reluctant-strategies' and E-Commerce. Great article- I been telling ya that CPQ and the likes would be competing against themselves as long as they maintain a hybrid system of distribution,at least until such time that they decide what to do.Come to think of it one can't serve 'mamon' & 'god' at the same time now can you,hummm may be Compaq knows a way and oh what's up with CPQ and their buying up all the crappy internet companies while ignoring an obvious goldmine-Alta Vista! Speak about efficient deployment of cash...yeah these guys are going places I am telling ya (NOT>. As for 'reluctance' to embrace E-Commerce,Compaq for one said so themselves at the COMDEX show last year. Now I have no idea how a reluctant-strategy could become a successful strategy,it's beyond my comprehension.
