OK folks, Dicky had the big opportunity yesterday afternoon on CNBC. His moment of truth. Naturally he blew it. This man deserves an academy award for lying by omission. He led us to believe that the on-line sales and auction site had turned SHRP into a dynamic retailing machine. He neglected to mention that on-line sales are highly seasonal (i.e., November & December) like the rest of the business (i.e., SHRP loses $$$ three out of four quarters and that on-line sales are unlikely to be much more than a few percent of total sales). He led us to believe that the auction site was a big draw, well its a big yawn folks so don't bother to look. The auction site is a money-losing distraction. The best deception was "3D content starting March 1st". He forgot to tell us we need a Pentium III. Sorry folks. Now is the new SHRP slogan "Product for Everyone", give us a break Dicky. SHRP sells high-priced gadgets that will tank the first sign of consumer retrenchment. You're the best Dicky and you won't be on CNBC during market hours for a long time. Boo hoo. We can't sell into the price pops like you and the rest of the insiders. Check auction site hit and item numbers, they are pathetic. Particularly since Dicky was on CNBC! Oh by the way, how about those February sales? same store? on-line? I wonder why Dicky didn't mention February on CNBC. Guess?
