(OTC BB:NPEC) announced the appointment of Raymond D. Lazo of California as president of the company. Lazo replaces Larry Regis who will remain on the board of directors. Increased activity by NP Energy in the telecommunications industry by its subsidiary MetroPLUS Communications Corp. and the anticipated renewed activity in its precious metal holdings motivated the appointment of new officers and directors. Lazo's business background as owner of several companies will bring strong business acumen to the company.
