Chuck, re "back in the market first week of Jan '00", if there is no major y2k market correction, and lots of people have done what you are suggesting, then that first trading day of 00 there will probably be a tremendous upward gap in stock prices and those who are not already in will have to chase those upward prices -- therefore, not only missing out on the last 6 months of 99, but also having to buy in at inflated and possibly over-valued prices. (Just a thought for the other side of the coin.) Dc
