Well as many of us know, their is cable in the ground across the U.S. There is also cable internet. There is also satelite internet.

But do you think that Intel, Cisco, Ascend Cascade AOL, Compuserve, Microsoft, US Robotics, Gateway, IBM, Dell, (all other pc makers) SUN, HP, Silicon Investor (we are a force), GE, GM, and all the other companies that have spent billions and billions of dollars geared to phone lines and relateds are going to let cable and satelite take over. All US Robotics would have to do is advertise it on TV a few days that Congress is proprosing .10 per minute charge, and I guarantee that it does not pass.

Too much money has been spent on the current tech for the .10 charge. The industrly has to naturally go to wireless (faster) communications. It will in time get their.

I don't know if it has been expressed, but if the phone companies don't watch it they could be out of business for good.

If we had cable and satelite in widespread use, we could easily video confernce with anyone in the world. They're both fast enough. At that point who needs a phone???/

Not I.

My thoughts exactly.
