DIDAX Web Site Crosswalk.com Named Exclusive Online Host For 30th Annual Dove Awards

CHANTILLY, Va., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- DIDAX INC. (Nasdaq: AMEN - news), creator of the award-winning crosswalk.com Christian Web community (http://www.crosswalk.com), today announced an agreement with the Gospel Music Association (GMA) and High Five Productions that gives crosswalk.com's Music Channel exclusive online broadcast rights to the 30th Annual Dove Awards, to be held on March 24, 1999 from 9-11 p.m. EST. The broadcasts will feature streaming media in both audio-only and video formats provided by RealNetworks, Inc. of Seattle, Washington.

The Dove Awards is the longest running and most prestigious awards show in the gospel music industry. John Tesh will again host the show this year, with scheduled presenters and performers including such well-known artists as Michael W. Smith, dc Talk, Kirk Franklin, Steven Curtis Chapman, the Newsboys and Avalon. Since 1992, gospel music has been the second fastest growing musical format, with total sales now larger than classical and jazz combined. The show will be syndicated to independent and network affiliated television stations around the country, but only crosswalk.com will have rebroadcast and on-demand archive rights to the show.

''It's an honor to have been selected from among the other contenders for this great event,'' said Neal Joseph, vice president/entertainment for crosswalk.com and former president of Warner Bros. Christian music division. ''We believe this affirms the significant role that crosswalk.com is playing within the Christian music industry, both in the growth of our online music community and in the strength of our relationships with key technology providers like Real Broadcast Networks. We think this online agreement will expand the national and international audience for the show and generate incremental visits and sales for our Music Channel.''

Frank Breeden, president of the Gospel Music Association, said, ''We're excited about enlarging our audience over the Internet and look forward to a great partnership with crosswalk.com. Their plan to promote the Dove Awards is impressive, and making the show available to anyone, anywhere, anytime will be an ongoing boost both to the industry and to the artists involved.''

Crosswalk.com has formed a coalition of international Christian music distributors to promote the online broadcast via mailing lists, retail networks and national press. Included are Alliance/UK, CMC Distribution in Canada, Alliance/Benelux, Alliance/Germany, Kir Music/Switzerland, Master Music/Norway, Naxos/Sweden, Marantha Music in South Africa, Christian Marketing in Australia/New Zealand and Word Music International's worldwide distributor network. Crosswalk.com will rebroadcast the Dove Awards multiple times on March 25 to accommodate primetime audiences around the world. Broadcast schedules and updated information are available online at music.crosswalk.com, which will also serve as the host Internet address for the broadcasts.
