David, Just about anything can be used for good or for ill. A car can be used for transportation or destruction. A knife can be used to cut your steak or to kill the cook. The same can be said for information whether its marketing data or biometric data. I strongly feel that biometrics, used properly, can enhance privacy greatly. IDX and other biometric companies need to get on the bandwagon pushing for the proper use and limitations for biometric info - I'm not sure I see that happening. BTW, it so happens I am one of those people who wrote to the FDIC about the "Know Your Customer" proposal telling them to dump the idea. Rick
