Gary,

I own a lot of those stocks too, but I think you have separate the backbone equipment manufacturers from the companies that provide a connection from the network backbone to your home or office.

Also, answer this. Who has the financial incentive to invest substantial sums of money in a public network. Isn't a network only as fast as its weakest link?

Let me also ask you this. Have you ever considered spending your personal funds to fix a pothole in a road ten miles from where you live? How do we solve the dilemma of the trajedy of the commons?
