How much is the DST sell for now? I worked on the DST product a while back. Very cool technology, very expensive. 186 GBytes tape drive - now that's what I call capacity. Oh, 186GBytes is only in one cassette. I saw an 173 terabytes robotic tape system. BTW, if you guys hasn't seen it, check out the company's museum. Very cool, the world's first VCR, etc. Call the company for openning hours. You will feel like you going back in time, since all the TV stations/network in the 50-60 used Ampex's product. Now you know who to blame for "American invented VCR and Japanese made all the money from it."
