Anthony, help me out. I am a newbie. I called my broker and said I wanted to short 1000 shares of one of your recommendations. They said the shares were available and gave me a tag number and instructed me to place a market order using their electronic brokerage software. Which I did. After 15 minutes the order status was still pending. I called back and they told me that the order had been rejected and canceled. The broker said this was the first time he has seen this happen. The rejection happened around 11:58 AM EST. Order pending was still displayed at 12:15 PM EST. Is this typical that a broker will approve and then reject? Any suggestions?
